Obverse: DN IOVIA-NVS PF AVG, right facing, pearl diademed, draped, cuirassed bust of Jovian.
Reverse: VOT / V / MVLT / X in four lines in wreath, ASIRM in exergue.
Reference: RIC IX Sirmium #118 (c), Sear #4087v, LRBC #1623, Van Meter #13.
Comments: This type, from a short-lived emperor, is formerly very difficult to come by. Recently a larger number have come through the Balkan channels. This piece predates the recent excavations and is of superior quality to the ones found in today's eBay marketplace. The smooth, dark green patina is generally smooth and undisturbed overall. An outstanding example of a coin tough to find in this nice a condition.

Obverse: DN VALEN-S PF AVG, right facing, pearl diademed, draped, cuirassed bust of Valens.
Reverse: SECVRITAS REIPVBLICAE, [star]/R/O stacked in left field, [dot]/M stacked in right field, ASISC in exergue.
Reference: RIC IX Siscia #15b[type xx], Sear #4118v, Van Meter #49.
Comments: An excellent portrait from this brother of Valentinian I. This coin was minted in the second period c. 367-375 AD and although a relatively common type, it is an interesting example with the complex mint marking arrangement.

Obverse: DN PROCO-PIVS PF AVG, right facing, pearl diademed, draped, cuirassed bust of Procopius.
Reverse: Procopius standing facing, head right, holding labarum and leaning on shield; indistinguishable mintmark in exergue.
Reference: Sear #4125v, Van Meter #6.
Comments: A tough emperor [usurper, proclaimed emperor in Constantinople] to find in any condition. This piece has a partial legend with decent but worn features front and back. Sear has it valued at 250 Pounds in VF.

Obverse: DN GRATIANVS PF AVG, right facing, pearl diademed, drapedand cuirassed bust of Gratian.
Reverse: GLORIA RO-MANORVM, Gratian advancing right, dragging captive, holding labarum w/ large chi-rho, Q in left field, star in right field, (delta)SISCR in exergue.
Reference: RIC IX Siscia #14c, Sear #4142v.
Comments: A well centered example of this coin dating from the period 367-375 AD. Nice portrait with good detail visible on the diadem. The reverse exhibits strong but softly worn features and has a scratch in the patina across the coin at the emperor's knees. There is some minor surface corrosion at the upper right on the reverse. The coin's mintmarkings shows some of the complexity of this period's coinage. The use of left and right field markings as well as prefix and suffix letters in the exergue make for dozens of officina and workshop types for these coins. This coin is nice clear mid-grade example.

Obverse: DN VALENTINIA-NVS IVN PF AVG, right facing, pearl diademed, draped, cuirassed bust of Valentinian II.
Reverse: VRBS ROMA, Roma seated left on cuirass, holding Victory on globe and reversed spear; [theta] in left field, [star]/[phi] stacked in right field, ANTB.
Reference: RIC IX Antioch #51[type 5], Unlisted in Sear, Van Meter #42.
Comments: A nice coin with a great contrasting patina. The Urbs Roma type is less commonly seen than usual Valentinian II types.

Obverse: DN VALENTINIANVS PF AVG, right facing, pearl diademed, draped, cuirassed bust of Valentinian II.
Reverse: (SALVS REI) PVBLICAE, Victory advancing left, carrying trophy and dragging captive; indistinguishable mintmark in exergue.
Reference: Sear #4167v, Van Meter #47.
Comments: An excellent portrait coin for Valentinian II with nicely patinated surfaces.

Obverse: DN THEODO-SIVS PF AVG, right facing, pearl diademed, draped, cuirassed bust of Theodosius I.
Reverse: (SALVS REI) PVBLICAE, Victory advancing left, carrying trophy and dragging captive; indistinguishable mintmark in exergue.
Reference: Sear #4188v, Van Meter #40.
Comments: An nice portrait coin for Theodosius I with contrasting patina surfaces.

Obverse: DN HONORI-VS PF AVG, right facing, pearl diademed, draped, cuirassed bust of Honorius.
Reverse: GLORI-A ROMA-NORVM, Arcadius, Honorius and Theodosius II facing, standing side by side, each holding a spear, two holding a shield; ANTA in exergue.
Reference: Sear #4255v, LRBC #2802, Van Meter #40.
Comments: One of the few Roman coins depicting three seated emperors. This coin has a very nice contrasting patina that adds to it's character.
